Baby croup cough treatment

Although my baby’s croup has been mild, it has been going on for 4 days. It seems like a long time. Is this normal?

Croup is usually worse around the second day, and often takes five or six days for full recovery. During this time you should try to keep the baby at home, make sure that baby’s fluid intake is ample, and consult your pharmacist about a pain killer to help relieve the symptoms. Lots of rest and quiet time are helpful. Having the humidifier running in baby’s room will really help to keep the dry cough at bay.
