Why do I feel so sick?
Thought to be caused by the sudden surge of hormones during
pregnancy, many women feel sick, especially in the morning.
For some women this can lead to vomiting which lasts all
day, particularly if they don’t eat often enough,
causing their blood sugar to drop. For most women the nausea
stops around the twelve week mark, but there is no hard
and fast rule and there are the unlucky few who experience
morning sickness during the whole pregnancy. Traditionally
morning sickness is considered to be a positive sign that
the pregnancy is progressing well. In reality roughly half
of all pregnant women do not experience morning sickness
and yet go on to bear healthy children.
