My doctor has told me that he will not induce me even if labour
does not start by itself. What can the reason be?
Since there are several reasons why your doctor may decide
that you are a poor candidate for induction, you may have
to ask him yourself what the exact reason is.
Reasons for not inducing can range from breech or sideways
babies to multiple births. A low placenta or placenta previa
could be a reason not to induce. In addition the size of
the baby in relation to your pelvis, the existence of a
vertical scar from a previous delivery, or the presence
of the genital herpes virus could all influence your doctor
to avoid this procedure.
