Weaning – Cutting down on feed

I know that I am supposed to be cutting back on breastfeeding so that weaning is slow and easy. But I am not sure exactly how to do that.

The easiest method, should you baby co-operate, is to introduce a drink from a cup at the start of each feed. The cup could contain around 30ml of cow’s milk. Once the baby has accepted this as normal, you can start to increase the amount of milk in the cup so that the baby naturally drinks less and less from the breast.
