 Newborn rashes - Spots :

My baby was born with a bad case of what looks like acne, which is SO embarrassing because I want everyone to admire her! Would it help if I squeezed the spots to help them clear up?

Many babie are born with or develop a rash of tiny white or yellow pimples (called milia) on their faces, especially around the nose and forehead. It also sometimes appears on the body. This is caused by an overproduction of sebum as the skin tries to lubricate itself. It does clear up on its own within a few weeks. Just keep the area clean by wiping gently with clean water when you bath the baby. Do not on any account try to squeeze the spots – you risk infection and scarring.
