  Newborn – Bloodshot eyes :

I think that my baby has something wrong with his eyes as they are all bloodshot. I can’t decide if I should bother the doctor about this?

In these early days of motherhood you should try not to worry about feeling foolish, and ask as many questions as you can every time you have access to a health care worker such as a doctor or midwife. In this case it is unlikely that there is anything wrong with the baby, but rather that some tiny blood vessels were damaged during the birth. This should clear up quickly. However, if you do get a chance you should ask for your doctor’s opinion. Also keep monitoring the eyes and make sure that they are improving over the next few days. If not you should have them checked out.
