The cause of baby colic is not known, however there are a number of theories which include external causes, i.e over-stimulation, under- stimulation, dietary intolerance, a stressed mom…. The most prevalent thinking is that the cause is immaturity, both of the digestive and nervous systems of the baby. Baby could also be sensitive to the new environment and react by crying.
