What’s happening?
When the baby is three or four days old you may suddenly
be blessed by a rush of milk into your breasts. They may
be swollen and red and extremely painful, especially if
this is your first child! The first thing to know is that
this will probably subside within a day or two. It can last
up to a week but that is unusual.
